Donation of two defibrillators to the Mykonos Port Authority

Julia Tsetis, President and CEO of the Tsetis Group of Pharmaceutical Companies, donated two defibrillators to the Mykonos Port Authority through the KLEON TSETIS Foundation. The donation took place on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Mykonos Port Authority, in the presence of the Port Authority Commander, Nikolaos Zygouris.

More than 2.6 million ferry and cruise passengers pass through Mykonos’ two main ports each year – the New Port in Tourlos and the Old Port in Chora.

In her brief address, Julia Tsetis highlighted the importance of ensuring that all travellers arriving at and departing from the island feel safe, noting that this initiative responds directly to the need to strengthen safety and preparedness for an immediate response to a medical emergency.

Addressing the officers of the Hellenic Coast Guard, she referred to the social challenges of our time and acknowledged their daily efforts, carried out with altruism and a strong sense of responsibility, to serve travellers and safeguard an island that is an internationally renowned tourist destination.

The President of the Tsetis Group also stressed that, through the KLEON TSETIS Foundation, a non-profit organization, she will continue to support the provision of preventive healthcare and health protection needs in regions across Greece, with particular consideration for vulnerable populations.

This initiative follows the donation of 106 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and an equal number of first-aid kits to the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), announced by Julia Tsetis on June 10, 2026, in memory of Ioanna Andreadou, Professor of Pharmacology at the NKUA Department of Pharmacy.

The 106 automated external defibrillators and the corresponding first-aid kits have already been installed across NKUA Schools in Attica and Evia, significantly strengthening the safety of students, members of the academic community and visitors.
